Happenings!

Newest Creation:
I made this little gift package for McKenna's (Kaci's daughter) 6th birthday! I love it...Can't wait to make more. In fact, I am going to make one for my room mom's end-of-the-year gift (minus the bathing suit cover-up).

Bruised Knees, Bruised Ego:
Setting: Field Day
Time: 10:15
"Mrs. Moncrief, do you want to race me in the 50 yard dash?," said Hunter.
"Yeah, I am in!," said Mrs. Moncrief
About two minutes later, I was on the ground with parents and kids to witness. I knew I wouldn't win, but I definitely thought, "I was pretty quick in my day, I can at least make it close." NOT! The sad part is, I didn't roll my ankle or trip....I would have been WAY okay with that. What had happened was, I was running WAY faster in my head than my body would actually allow and I literally just ate it for no other reason than that! I mean who was I kidding trying to get up and sprint faster than I ever have in like 10 years....of course I was going to eat it and boy did I. Harder than you have ever seen anyone eat it in your entire life. I wasn't embarrassed at all because I fell, but I was an emotion basket case on the inside because it was a reality check that I am a lot younger in my mind than body.
Of course I had to redeem my self, so I raced like two more times...didn't win, but didn't fall! The kids were very supportive, they didn't laugh until I was up and told they could! They were VERY concerned. In fact, an hour later, one of my students was like, "Mrs. Moncrief, are you sure you are okay? I am really worried about your left knee!" So sweet! The pic is from two days later...it looked a lot worse! And yes, my knees are very swollen...they usually aren't that fat!

Big News Times 3!

LOTS of things have been happening around the Moncrief household.

1. As many of you know, Little Miss was in the hospital for 4 days (mon-thurs). She had the Rotavirus and became severely dehydrated. Worst thing I have been through as a parent. It took 1.5 hours to get the I.V. in and trust me, you never want to see the sheer look of terror that I saw on my daughter's face as they were putting the IV in. Anyhow, she is much better. You would never know she spent time in the hospital. She is a little more clingy to me than before, but I literally didn't leave her side for days (except to shower) so what should I expect? Campbell was NEVER sick...I guess Princess Pea Pod is going to be my sickie.

2. I got a new car. LOVE IT! How boring am I though...I traded in my black Tahoe, for another black Tahoe. I never had any mechanical problems with my old Tahoe and after 95,000 miles, it still is running perfect. It was just time for an upgrade. Chevy...Built like a rock!

3. I am walking in the 3Day again this year and I am begging you readers for some money. Please visit my link and donate today, but most impotantly spread the word and my link!!!

I actually have pics to add of all of these 3 big happenings; however, I am way too lazy to upload today. I will add some later. Time to sleep........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

that my kids could be this cute? These are photos taken at their school...I think they are so fun. I also had to add a couple extra ones from around the house at the end.

Are you kidding me with Pillsbury Dough Girl...Just wait 'til you see!

Check Out My New Stuff!

So, I added some new things to my crafty blog (My Little Imperfections). My friend at work, Cindy, just bought and reopened a gift shop in Willow Bend. It is called Hugs and Kisses. I haven't been back since they have repainted and decorated to their liking. I am sure it is as adorable as Miss Cindy herself. Anyhow, I think she is selling collegiate, baby, and Texas related items. She has this blanket that is perfect for sleepovers. The one I saw was Texas Tech and it was TOO DIE for! The bottom is thicker and quilted with Tech material. It has a fleece blanket sewn to one side that you would pull over for cover. There is also a pillow attached and it all folds together with a strap for carrying. I am definitely getting one for the kids (Tech for Emerson and Aggie for Campbell).

Anyhow, I wanted to share information about Cindy's store, but she is also letting me put some of my creations there. I am starting simple (tie onesies bc they are so quick and easy to make). She will have them out and displayed for Father's Day...How perfect! This is new territory so we will see where it takes us. I only did onesies, but I could obviously do toddler shirts as well (Campbell has to tie tees). Anyhow, check out my new stuff and also check out Cindy's store when you get a chance!
