Top 10 Reasons Why I Love...

My Husband!

Just thought I would give Wesley some props since my blogs are mostly children/craft related. I encourage anyone who reads this blog to make their next blog titled, "Top 10 Reasons Why I Love" and then fill in the blank with a topic of your choice!

10. I would hope all wives feel their husband's love, but I mean I really feel it from Wes. He loves me more than the Octo-Mom loves publicity...and that's alot!

9. He is the most patient man...when it comes to me that is. Now, honey-do's around the house, not so patient. I mean I can run into Joann's Fabrics and leave him in the car for 30 minutes with the kids and his response when I get back in the car will be, "Did you get what you need?" I love my dad, but I grew up with everything always happening within his timeline, so this is new for me.

8. He does laundry. Yes ladies, I am serious. However he is so OCD when it comes to folding and putting clothes away that it takes him a while, but hey, he does it!

7. He works extremely hard and will stress himself out at work all for the sake of providing for his family.

6. He will call me from the store/mall and say, "Now which other Baby LuLu outfit did you want to get Emerson?"

5. His facial hair. The three day growth is my absolute fave. In fact, he had that on his face on our wedding day. I don't think my mama-in-law was too thrilled!

4. His family. You've heard the inlaw stories and maybe have some yourself, but I truly love his family as if I were born into it. I really feel like my mother-in-law's daughter. I am so LUCKY.

3. His new-found love for Seven jeans. After buying a pair of Citizen's he said, "These are nice, but nothing like my Seven's." I also love that he will surprise me with Seven jeans...like the time I painted most of the interior of our house. I think Beth (who helped) is still waiting on her pair.

2. His giddiness/pride for our children. He loves to check on them when they are sleeping to see what funny positions they end up in. He loves to help pick out their clothes and gets excited when we take new (professional) photos, which he can't wait to send out to his family and friends. I also love that he tries to pick out clothes for Emerson (we are still working on that) and loves to fix Campbell's hair. Oh and also, he loves to dress like twins with Campbell...down to the shoe!

1. He picked me. According to Wesley, he was quite the stud in high school and college and girls were just falling at his feet. How lucky am I that he chose me? All kidding aside, I love him like no other and my life would be less blessed if he weren't a part of it!

That's it...by the way, the pic above is of us at our rehearsal dinner. Young pups (skinny pups) unaware how VERY quickly/dramatically our life was about to change!

I will be waiting for your Top 10!

Spring Pictures!

Of course Emerson just stared open-mouthed at the camera and Campbell was his typical cheese ball self, but I love them. I think they turned out great! Happy Spring!

Really...On my spring break!

So I was at the Children's Hospital ER until 2:45 this morning(I was at the new one in North Plano...SO NICE and the staff was great). Emerson woke up with an awful cough and labored breathing with a horrible wheeze. I felt myself trying to breathe for her. She was also crying hysterically (so not my child) and this all happened out of the blue. I called my on-call nurse at my pediatrician's office (Great feature by the way. Doesn't matter what time you call they will call you back in 30 minutes. It has been a lifesaver). Anyhow, the nurse told me to take her in, especially because of the labored and struggling to breathe.
Well, by the time we get there, she was perfectly content and back to her normal self...except when she coughed, she sounded like a seal. Long story short, a breathing treatment, a steroid, a prescription, and 3 hours later...Little Miss has Croup. Isn't that so fun? They told me the reason why she was fine when we got there was because the cool night air helps open up airways in the respiratory system and she could breathe a little better. She was the star of the ER, smiling, waving, and gabbing to anyone that would listen. Funny that she smiled and put on a show at 2:00 in the morning in an ER, but wouldn't crack a smile for her spring pics on Sunday...TYPICAL! Thankfully she only has a cough and nothing else, so she is pretty normal. What is it with my kids and illnesses that attack the respiratory system? Asthma runs rampant in my family tree and I had it when I was younger (out grew it as some kids do). Maybe this is why...Are they destined to have asthma?

All this to tell you, my parents are coming in town tomorrow, hopefully life will be back to normal and Emerson will be happy and fun to be around. Not that they would care!
P.S. In the pic you can see the monitor that checks her oxygen level...it is glowing red though her sock on her big toe...She was hysterical last night because she couldn't figure out why her toe was glowing. Yes, even in the ER at 2:00 a.m. I managed to capture a picture!

The Craft Bug Has Hit Again!

Scroll down to see all and read the second blog about the tees and onesies. I posted in the wrong order! Sorry............

The Craft Bug Has Hit Again

Okay, so I thought I would stay up until midnight last night and make Emerson some t-shirts...SO FUN! I also came up with my signature (just kidding). I also made some onesies for little boys, I thought I would put a mini version of whatever is on the front and put it on the back at the top of the tee. I am sure this is not a new idea, but I thought it would be cute! I already have like 14 orders just from taking them to school! I really never know how much to sell stuff for, but I thought $12 was a good price and $10 each if they bought 3 or more. Just a trial...we shall see! P.S. keep scrolling to see them all

My Little Bacon Bit is 8 Months Old!

Can you believe it? She is such a wonderful baby and a joy to be around! She is cutting her first top tooth. I can't wait to see what she will look like with top teeth! She is getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth, but I doubt she will going anywhere anytime soon. She is completely lazy...However, us veteran moms know that with the second one, you want them to stay immobile for as long possible. I mean this girl doesn't really ever roll over. I have seen her roll over from front to back a couple of times, but never from back to front. Now before you go thinking...especially you new moms who are reading books galore, she is not delayed and perfectly normal, just happy and content where you put her (I asked her doc to make sure). Emerson loves her big brother more than anything. She thinks he is the COOLEST thing ever. She throws her head back, gives a gummy smile, and laughs hysterically at EVERYTHING he does. She loves to give open mouth kisses and she is OBSESSED with my school ID. I love to watch her focus in on an object and slowly grab for it. The best part of my day is going to pick her up from school. When her back is to me all I say when I walk in the nursery is, "Princess, Mommy's here!" and she starts to wiggle and flail out of control with a big huge smile....And then there is Campbell who whines when I pick him up because he is usually at centers or recess! AT least one kid is happy to see me.
We found out today, after waking up for a couple of days with goopy eyes, that Emerson has a double ear infection. Had no clue...Thankfully she has no fever, runny nose, cough, congestion, loss of appetite, lack of sleep, or fussiness! Campbell never had an ear infection so this is new territory for me. Good thing Emerson is such a trooper and hopefully the antibiotic will kick it and she will be 100% in time for Nana and Paw Paw's visit.

Three more days until Spring Break starts! Yea for me and my fellow teachers...WE REALLY NEED THIS!

How monstrous is my child? (He looks a little funny because it is about 6:15 in the morning)
